TV crew narrowly avoids bridge collapse during live report

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSAV) – A television reporter avoids a bridge collapse in North Carolina while reporting on flooding.

It happened in Alexander County.

A section of a bridge/road collapsed into rushing water with a WJZY news crew steps away and live on-air. 

No one was injured during the incident.

The area continues to battle rising flood waters. Three schools in the Charlotte area are being evacuated with boats.
