An accident occurred on Highway 21 near Geechie Road, on Lady’s Island. The southbound lane traveling towards Saint Helena Island is blocked. Motorists are advised to use caution and should expect significant delays.

A three motor vehicle accident with injuries has occurred on Highway 278 at Pepper Hall Plantation Drive, in Bluffton. Both of the two far right lanes of Highway 278 are blocked. Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (3:00 p.m.)

A traffic hazard has occurred on Lady’s Island Drive, at Ferry Drive, on Lady’s Island. The right northbound lane is blocked, due to a blown water main. In addition, the entrance to Ferry Drive is blocked. Motorists are advised to use caution and should reduce speeds in order to prevent potential accidents.

Vehicle accident at Hwy 21 (PIGTWY) and Ambrose Run in Beaufort. Both NB lanes of Hwy 21 are blocked by emergency vehicles. Northbound traffic is being routed through the median. Motorists can expect delays and are requested to please use caution if traveling in the area.

Anderson St EB is closed between Waters Ave and Live Oak due to a crash with minor injuries. The closure is expected to last between a half hour and an hour. Please avoid the area.

Vehicle accident Highway 21 at Airport Circle on Ladys Island. The northbound lanes of Highway 21 are blocked. Motorists can expect delays in the area.

Pooler Police Department (12:29 p.m.)

Hwy 80 East is currently shut down due to an over-turned tractor-trailer. Please avoid the area while first responders work to clear the scene.

Monday, Nov. 14

(12:11 p.m.)

Traffic is slow near the I-95/I-16 interchange in Pooler after a crash left a boat on the roadway. SB lanes will be closed until further notice as crews work to clear the scene. NB traffic is also slow in the area.

It appears the driver of a Range Rover, heading southbound and towing the boat, jumped the center guardrail and the boat then came off the trailer. The boat was slung at least 30 yards down the road.

Savannah Police Department (12:40 p.m.)

Skidaway Rd southbound between 42nd St and Victory Drive is closed due to a crash. A water main and gas line have ruptured as a result of the crash. Northbound Skidaway is slowed as well. Please avoid the area.

A traffic hazard has occurred at the intersection of Highway 170, and Savannah Highway, in Burton. The traffic lights at this intersection are in flash mode. All lanes of Chatham Parkway between Police Memorial Drive and Business Center Drive are closed due to a single vehicle, serious injuries crash. Please seek an alternate location.

The traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 170 and Snake Road in Okatie is out. Law enforcement is currently on scene directing traffic to help with traffic congestion and public safety. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area. At the moment we don’t have an estimated time of restoration.

A wreck on Georgia State Route 204 right before US 17 is causing traffic to back up past Largo Drive. There is no information on possible injuries or when the scene will be cleared.

All lanes of DeRenne at Montgomery are closed due to a downed power line. Crews are working on the repair. Estimated closure time is currently 1-2 hours. Please seek an alternate route.

Northbound I-516 from Montgomery St to Veterans Pkwy is reduced to one lane for a crash. No serious injuries were reported.

Whitaker between Waldburg and Park Ave is closed due to power lines down in the roadway. GA Power is on-scene. To detour around closure take Waldburg to Barnard to Duffy and back to Whitaker.

Port Wentworth Police Department (7:04 a.m.)

The Port Wentworth Police Department is on the scene of an accident on Hwy 21 SB at Hendly Road. The roadway will be completely shut down for an unknown amount of time for the investigation.
Drivers are urged to seek an alternate route and avoid the area as officers are rerouting traffic away from this area.

The Talmadge Bridge is closed in both directions while SPD assists a person in distress. Avoid the area if possible. Take Hwy 25 to the Houlihan Bridge to detour around the closure.

Savannah Police Department (3:40 p.m.)

Due to a fire beneath the bridge earlier in the day, the Truman Parkway is closed both north and southbound between Henry Street and President Street. Police say that the bridge must be inspected before reopening and the closure is expected to last for at least two hours.

PWPD is on scene of an incident that has caused State Route 25 (South Coastal Hwy) at Barnsley Road (in front of the old City Hall) to be shut down for an undetermined amount of time.
Traffic is being rerouted at State Route 25 at Grange Road and at State Route 25 at Bonny Bridge Road. Drivers are requested to seek an alternate route as this incident is causing significant traffic delays.
