St. Jude Dream Home contest to return in 2019

St. Jude Dream Home

After a sell-out campaign for the 2018 St. Jude Dream Home in Richmond Hill, the fundraiser for the children’s hospital will return to the Coastal Empire in 2019.

St. Jude announced next year’s home for this region will be built in Rice Hope Plantation in Port Wentworth, Ga.

Village Park Homes, of Bluffton, has signed on once again to build the home.

All 6,500 tickets for the 2018 contest were sold and buyers were turned away. That’s why St. Jude will increase the ticket count to 6,750 in 2019. Tickets will go on sale in early April 2019.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Even though it costs more than $2.7 million to operate the hospital every day, families never receive a bill from St. Jude — not for treatment, travel, housing or food. St. Jude believes the only thing a family should worry about is helping their child live.

WSAV News 3 will once again be the exclusive TV media partner for the giveaway in 2019.
