2019 St. Jude Dream Home project officially underway

The 2019 St. Jude Dream Home is now being built in Port Wentworth’s Rice Hope Plantation. Stakeholders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday.

Village Park Homes, of Bluffton, has signed on once again to build the home. The master developer of Rice Hope Plantation, Bald Eagle Partners, donated the lot.


All 6,500 tickets for the 2018 contest were sold and buyers were turned away. That’s why St. Jude will increase the ticket count to 6,750 for this campaign. Tickets will go on sale in early April at $100 each.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases and the fundraiser helps ensure that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude — not for treatment, travel, housing or food.
