The second annual Blitz Border Bowl benefiting the Ronald McDonald House will take place Jan. 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Savannah.
The event is presented by WSAV and The Savannah Morning News and features 40 players from Georgia and South Carolina, selected by their coaches, who will compete in this “Coastal Empire vs. Lowcountry” all-star high school football game.
“The response from the players, coaches, fans, and all involved in last year’s Blitz Border Bowl created a strong effort to ensure the game continues,” said Mark Hefner, VP/GM of WSAV.
Coach Rob Zoller from Islands High School will be leading the Coastal Empire team while May River Coach Rodney Summers heads the Lowcountry.
For those who may not be able to make it to the game, WSAV will be broadcasting the game live.
