Bo Levett’s life, legacy celebrated at Beach High


He was a trailblazer in the Savannah youth sports community and spent time traveling with the Harlem Globetrotters. Saturday afternoon, friends and family celebrated the life and legacy of Lucius “Bo” Levett at Beach High School.

A legendary Beach graduate and member of the Savannah Athletics Hall of Fame, Levett died in November 2018. His family told the crowd his legacy can live on by supporting local youth sports organizations.

Levett founded the Savannah Policeman’s Athletic League in 1964 which expanded rec sports in Savannah. In 1985, he traveled with the Harlem Globetrotters as an equipment manager and referee.
