Adrian Peterson returned to Savannah on Friday night to kick off his annual Football Camp with an informal Meet and Greet at B&D Burgers in downtown Savannah. The camp itself begins Saturday morning at Calvary Day School.
For the first time, the camp will be focused on skills that range across all major sports, not exclusively football. “We normally call it the Adrian Peterson football camp, but this year it’s more of a sports camp,” says Peterson. “So whether it’s football, basketball, or baseball, it’s more functional movements.”
Additionally, Peterson, who led Georgia Southern to a National Championship in his time there, wants local kids to take life lessons away from the training. “The understanding the hard work pays off. Whether you want to be a professional athlete, a lawyer, a doctor, school principal, whatever you do in life will be hard work.”
