HAMPTON, S.C. (WSAV) – Another presidential hopeful is heading to the Lowcountry.

According to his campaign website, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is hosting a “Meet and Greet Fish Fry” on Friday in Hampton County.

The event at the James “Pete” Hagood Educational Center (719 Magnolia St.) runs from 4 p.m. (doors open) to 7:30 p.m. Attendees can sign up here.

Booker is the third Democratic candidate for president – of nearly 20 – to visit the Lowcountry in recent weeks. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Beto O’Rourke also made stops.

Booker made history in 2013 as the first African-American U.S. Senator from New Jersey. He has been serving as the junior senator since. He also served as the Mayor of Newark from 2006 to 2013.
