The GOP Georgia gubernatorial candidate stopped in Long County Wednesday, the last of his first day on tour.
Brian Kemp is visiting 20 cities through the end of the week as a part of his “Putting Georgia First Tour.” He made several stops in the Coastal Empire on day one, including Hazlehurst, Baxley and Jesup.
Rep. Buddy Carter and local officials joined Kemp for a few stops, including his visit to A New Beginning Church in Ludowici.
There, a large crowd of Long County citizens gathered to hear more from the Republican candidate. Kemp spoke briefly to the crowd, addressing the importance of getting out to vote on Nov. 6.
He spent time shaking hands and posing for pictures — and also answered a few questions from reporters.
