(KARE) A lot of people use yoga to stay in shape, but there is another use for it many people may not know much about.
It’s helping 60-year-old Steve Stoner of Hugo, Minnesota. Two years ago, he had a bad fall down a flight of stairs at home.
Steve was in the hospital for five months because of a traumatic brain injury. A yoga pose was the last thing he could do.
“He had to learn how to breathe on his own again, eat on his own again, walk, talk,” said his wife, Yvonne Stoner.
Since then, as part of his recovery, he and Yvonne have been doing yoga at home and at the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Stillwater.
