UPDATE: One dead, child injured in Sunset Blvd shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) –Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a Wednesday night shooting near Sunset Boulevard and April Street.

According to Savannah PD, officers responded to the basketball court at Sunset Boulevard and April Street and discovered 29-year-old,  Terry Coburn with gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 10-year-old was also grazed. The child was treated for minor injuries at the scene and was released.

News 3 spoke to a potential witness who says, “I heard pop, pop, pop, as I was coming up to Sunset Park and I looked over and I saw a little boy laying on the ground and another guy was standing up over him.”

The shooting remains under investigation.
