SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Metro police are investigating the discovery of human remains found Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area on the southside.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to the scene at Rivers Bend Court off of Rivers Bend Drive & Whitfield Avenue around 3:35 p.m.
Detectives believe it could be the body of a man reported missing in early 2017, according to SCMPD.
A positive identification has not been made. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 20.This story is developing. News 3 will continue to bring you further updates.
