SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Savannah woman Sunday.

According to the Savannah Police Department (SPD), the deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Helen Anderson.

SPD says around 11:30 p.m., she was driving a Kawasaki Vulcan on Gulfstream Road, just past Daniel J. Coe Jr. Drive, when she approached a curve. Police say she “misjudged” the curve and her motorcycle left the roadway.

Anderson hit a road sign and suffered fatal injuries. She died at the scene.

SPD’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating.
