Savannah man receives maximum federal prison sentence

A Savannah man got the maximum federal prison sentence on Thursday after he was convicted for having a gun as a convicted felon.

Calvin James was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The 32-year-old  was convicted after a trial in January. He was also given three years supervision after completing his sentence.

James was arrested in March last year after he ran from officers on foot and dropped a stolen gun and several bags of marijuana.
