Savannah group celebrates National Bike to Work Day

News

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A local group is encouraging Savannahians to choose two wheels instead of four.

In honor of National Bike to Work Day, Bike Walk Savannah offered free coffee and healthy breakfast snacks Friday at their location downtown.

The local advocacy group says these events help people see biking as an easy option.

“We’ve had people who have been thinking about biking to work – they’ve been on the fence about it – and this really encouraged them to just get on their wheels and ride,” said Caila Brown with Bike Walk Savannah.

The effort to get people biking continues with National Bike Month, and for groups like Bike Walk Savannah, it continues all year. Learn more about the organization over on their website.
