Salute to service: Vets outfitted with brand new clubs at RBC Heritage

News

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WSAV) – As Heritage Week kicked off at Harbour Town Golf Links, two combat-injured veterans had brand new golf clubs fitted for free and got a behind-the-scenes look at how clubs are made.

Steven Diaz and Scott Casimiro, both U.S. Marine Corps veterans, toured the Callaway truck to learn about the preferences professional golfers have with their clubs and clothes. Later, the pair headed to the driving range for a personal fitting and practice session.

WSAV’s Connor DelPrete was there to see the salute to service and has more.
