Renowned Christmas light show in jeopardy

News

SAVANNAH, Ga (WSAV) – Bob Haldeman and his wife Betty are in need of some help. The couple for more than 22 years have had their home along Gordonston Avenue light up the street during the Christmas holidays.

Now damage to his back yard by a fallen tree from Hurricane Matthew and poor health have slowed down Bob’s decorating process. It is most definitely a process, you get Bob started on one decoration, he moves to another and you can tell it’s his passion.

His passion though could all end this year as he and his wife are two weeks behind decorating the yard with the more than 30,000 lights.

News 3 is doing what we can to reach out and have groups help the Haldemans mark another Christmas in the bright lights. If you would like to help please contact our station for more information.
