NEW YORK (WWLP) – Pope Francis will begin and end his time in New York City with prayer.
At 7:00 p.m. Thursdasy night, he went to St Patrick’s Cathedral for evening prayer; on Friday, the final stop in New York City is at Madison Square Garden with thousands of his faithful.
It’ll be another jam packed day for the Holy Father in between though. First thing Friday morning, Pope Francis will deliver his message to the world, speaking to the UN General Assembly. From there, the Pope will travel to the 9/11 memorial site for an interfaith service.
Thursday, after his historic address to Congress, the Pope greeted the the crowd outside, including many children.They’ll likely be his highlight Friday when the Pope visits Our Lady Queen of Angels school in East Harlem.
Then the papal motorcade through Central Park and end at Madison Square Garden for mass.
