PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WSAV) — Port Wentworth Police have arrested 4 suspects allegedly involved in a fatal shooting on Aug. 13.

Officers with the Port Wentworth Police Department arrested Desimond Butler without further incident at about 4:30 p.m. later that same day. Michael Stevens, 18, was arrested on August 18, 2022, by
officers with the Port Wentworth Police Department with the assistance of the United States
Marshals Service Southern District of Georgia; Keroney King, 18, turned himself in to police on
September 10, 2022; and Jahaune Butler, 17, was arrested on September 22, 2022, by officers of the
Port Wentworth Police Department with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service
Southern District of Georgia, Midway Police Department, and Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. All
four suspects are in custody at the Chatham County Detention Center.

The shooting happened at around 11:49 p.m. in the parking lot of Rice Creek’s Subdivision Clubhouse on Miller Park Circle, according to police. Dion Farmer, 24, Port Wentworth, died at the scene.

Butler was originally wanted by police for Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and is considered armed and dangerous.

Port Wentworth PD describes the suspect as 5 feet, 5 inches tall weighing about 120 pounds with tattoos on his face. Police believe that Butler is driving a black 2011 Chevrolet Camaro.
