(WNCN) – About 121,000 Rainbow playsets are being recalled because of a fall hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the plastic trapeze rings on the playset can unexpectedly crack and break during use, causing a child to fall.
Rainbow has received more than 100 reports of the rings cracking, including 15 reports of injuries consisting of bumps, bruises, concussion and a broken finger.
The playsets were sold nationwide from January 2007 through December 2011 and at several merchandisers including Sam’s Club, Toys R Us and Walmart from January 2009 through December 2009. The playsets retailed for between $900 and $10,000.
Consumers should immediately stop children from using the recalled rings. The company is offering a $10 gift card.
