Authorities have identified the body recovered off of St. Simons Island on Tuesday.
According to the Brunswick Police Department, 46-year-old Nicole Wells, of Brunswick, was found dead in Clubbs Creek just west of the St. Simons Sound.
Authorities have been searching for her since the night of Feb. 20.
Wells’ vehicle was found abandoned on the Sidney Lanier Bridge that night, according to Glynn County Emergency Management Agency.
It’s believed that she jumped from the bridge to commit suicide.
Officials say two local fishermen notified law enforcement of the body around noon on March 12.
Brunswick Police, along with the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department, Glynn County Emergency Management and Georgia Department of Natural Resources, all responded to the area.
The body was recovered and sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab.
