Two people killed in weekend crash

SAVANNAH, Ga (WSAV) - Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people early Sunday morning.

We're told around 2:40, Savannah Police officers responded to the 2400 block of Bon Air Drive in reference to a domestic incident between 38-year-old Michael Singleton and 38-year-old Towana Andrews, reported by a family member. 

Police say the incident resulted in the kidnapping of Andrews. Officers spotted the associated vehicle and attempted to perform a traffic stop. 

Officials tell us the vehicle sped off and wrecked near the intersection of Henry and Habersham Streets around 3:20. 

According to Georgia State Patrol, Singleton and Andrews were both pronounced dead at the scene.
