For two decades, a holiday tradition on Whitemarsh Island has drawn hundreds of kids to a Christmas display. There’s no fee to see it. Instead, the couple behind the display collects donations.
This year, someone stole the donation box for St. Jude’s right from their front yard. Police tell them there are no suspects.
They don’t know how much money was inside, but there may have been a few hundred dollars. Each year, the couple raises nearly $2,000 for St. Jude’s Hospital.
News 3 spoke to the couple about the theft and the display, which took them a week to put together.
