The Richmond Hill Fire Department hosts dozens for breakfast with Santa Clause

Local News

The Richmond Hill community got a visit from Santa today while eating free breakfast with the Richmond Hill Fire department.

Those who attended had a breakfast made for royalty with everything from eggs to pancakes and even hot chocolate.

Santa arrived midway through with Mrs. Clause on his very own fire truck. Shortly after many made their way to the back room for photo opportunities and crafts. The captain of the department say this event is a chance to meet with the community one-on-one.

“It’s a good way for the community and the kids to come to see the fire department in a different aspect not just on emergency calls or all of us working but a lot more personal level we have firefighters who serve the food to the kids and to the families, firefighters cooking and it allows the community to be a little closer to us and realize that we are here anytime they need us and we are people too,” said Jordan Johnson. Captain of Richmond Hill Fire Department.

The donations collected will be brought to Georgia Regional Hospital. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday. Those can be dropped off at RHFD or Savannah City Hall.
