St. Joseph’s/Candler to open new campus in Pooler

Local News

After four years of planning, a new hospital complex is set to open in Pooler.

St. Joseph’s/Candler is now the third campus to open in the Coastal Empire allowing for better access to health care for all who need it.

As long as I’ve been mayor, and even before people have said we need more medical facilities out here in our city and as we have grown they’ve said we have to get more medical facilities and I’m so proud of St. Joseph’s/Candler and Paul Hinchey and the entire group, said Pooler Mayor Mike Lamb.

The new facility is a state-of-the-art campus offering  health care services aimed at making the patient experience comfortable and convenient.

What I’m moved by is what this means to the people who actually live here because health care, outside of your religion is probably the most important thing you’ll have to deal with. It’s really important to get that where you live. So you can get it fast and quickly and you can take advantage of it, said Paul Hinchey, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital.

The new facility is set to the public open March 25th.
