The Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools in conjunction with the Mighty Eighth Air Force will be holding a conference Friday to set a vision for safety in local schools.
The theme of the conference is, “Safe Schools, Safe Students and Safe Communities.”
Some of the topics set to be discussed include self-defense, restorative justice and active shooter trainings.
News 3 has learned Isaac Felton from the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office will be the key note speaker for this year’s conference.
It takes place Friday, September 7th at the Mighty Eighth Museum in Pooler.
It runs from 8 a.m-4 p.m.
