LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – A 2-year-old boy was killed in Long County when his mother accidentally ran over him Monday afternoon.

According to Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles, the accident happened on April 30, when the mother of the child was moving her vehicle into a shaded area on Paige Lane.

The child reportedly darted behind the vehicle and the mother accidentally ran over the boy.

2-year-old Oliver Bell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oliver lived in Long County all of his life. Family members say he loved riding the tractor with his dad, taking naps and eating snacks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at Compass Worship Center in Ludowici. Visitation will be Friday evening, May 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pigott Branch Baptist Church.
