Pet of the Week: Anne Bonny

Local News

From One Love Animal Rescue:

Anne Bonny came into the shelter while One Love was there rescuing a few other animals. She was in extreme distress and pain and had a serious injury to her eye. We noticed there was a puncture on the top of her head and saw what we thought was a puncture in her eyeball. We believe that she was attacked and the vet agreed. She had to get her eye removed and she is now a little pirate. It is not holding her back what so ever and she is healing well. She is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped. We have not done too much integrating with other dogs as we wanted to allow her to heal. It seems as though she likes puppies but she is nervous of other dogs her size or larger so I think she would do best in a home without them. She is quite the little hunter always looking for birds and squirrels so it may be hard to have her in a home with cats as well. Being a Corgi mix, we believe she would be best without small children has she is a herding breed and likes to gather up her people!
