Savannah shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Authorities are investigating a Savannah shooting Tuesday night that left one man dead and another injured.

The Savannah Police Department (SPD) says officers found the victims inside a car. Police say 29-year-old Markese Singleton, of St. Helena Island, S.C., died. The other man — whose identity was not released — was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, SPD says.

The incident happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 100 block of North Gamble Road near the El Cheapo gas station at 3912 Ogeechee Road.

Further details have not been released.
