Local communities plan Spring celebrations, free family fun and egg hunts for Saturday

Local communities will gather on Saturday, April 13 for a mix of Spring celebrations, family fun and egg hunts.

Savannah Police Department will hold its first ever Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 13. There will be food, games, prizes and thousands of eggs. The fun starts at 11 a.m. at Nathanael Greene Park.

Richmond Hill Fire Department will host its third annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 13
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at JF Gregory Park. Guests can enjoy food trucks, live music, a corn hole tournament and vendors.
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will return to Downtown Hardeeville on Saturday, April 13th.
Kids will enjoy bounce houses, coloring tables, egg decorating and fun prizes. Easter egg hunt age groups are three and under, four to six and seven to nine. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets. This family-fun, community event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at noon and takes place at the Richard Gray Park Complex located at 205 Main Street, Behind City Hall. Bring the family for some spring fun at Saint Leo University’s Savannah Education Center’s Spring Fling Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy refreshments, games with prizes, and an Easter egg hunt with prizes, among other fun-filled activities. Saint Leo University’s Savannah Education Center is at 325 W. Montgomery Crossroads, Savannah, GA 31406. The university has served the Savannah community since 1975 when it began offering classes at Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF) and Fort Stewart. Garden City Parks and Recreation’s Easter Eggstravaganza will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m.-noon at The Park at Sharon Park 525 Sharon Park Dr. Garden City, Ga. 31408 . Garden City’s Police Department will also be onsite providing hot dogs and snacks to all of the attendees. Come Join Us!  This event is free and open to the public.

Savannah Chatham County Public Schools will host Books, Blankets and Family Fun on April 13 at Daffin Park.
