Liberty Co. voters decide to keep ESPLOST

Local News

LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – Voters in Liberty County chose to keep the Educational Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST).

The referendum passed by nearly 81 percent on Tuesday.

ESPLOST is not new or an additional tax. It is an extension of the sales tax already collected on purchases in Liberty County.

Every time a purchase is made in the county, one cent goes back into schools.
