Jesup apartment complex fire displaces several families

JESUP, Ga. (WSAV) – According to officials, a fire damaged seven apartments Monday evening in Jesup.

Wayne County EMA Director, Richard Johnson, says the blaze happened at Briarwood public housing located on 1201 south first street.

Crews continue to investigate the cause of the fire.

Officials say the fire affected 12 adults and 22 children.
