A well-known Hilton Head restaurant owner has been charged with a DUI after striking a bicyclist Tuesday night.

Officials say David Francis Reilley, 62, was driving on Marshland Road near Chisholm Place around 11:40 p.m. when he hit a man riding a bicycle.

The bicyclist has been identified as Vincent Hedger, 28 of North Carolina. He was transported to a hospital in Savannah.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is charging Reilley with a felony DUI.
