Authorities have arrested at least seven people and disposed of more than $1.5 million worth of meth.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the meth manufacturing operation spanned six counties.
In Milton, Georgia, the DEA confiscated 300 pounds of meth. At the second location in DeKalb County, agents recovered 120 pounds found in a barn.
It’s unclear where else agents uncovered operations.
Police said all seven people arrested were from Mexico. At this time, it’s not clear if they were in the states legally.
Crews disposed of hundreds of pounds of liquid and crystal meth, and because of toxic waste, authorities say the Milton home may have to be condemned.
Neighbors were shocked to hear that the drugs were found so close to home.
“That is an insane amount of drugs, right down the road too,” said Trevor Weatherby.
Agents say each pound of meth is worth $4,000 on the streets, so the bust took about $1.7 million worth of drugs off the streets.
