Family and friends of Savannah Police Officer Luis Molina gathered at the Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship Church today in Savannah.
Alcine Gross, a friend, and fellow Ruff Ryder was among those paying their respects. “He was more than a friend, he was more than every title we can give him. He was a brother,” she said.
Corporal Molina and his wife Akia were stabbed to death Monday morning on Wilmington Island. Akia Molina’s 16-year-old brother now faces two counts of malice murder.
When Gross heard the news of his passing, “I cried every day. I had to leave work,” she said.
Savannah Police Officers and Chief of Police Mark Revenew were among those saying an emotional goodbye.
“Moe made a difference. And it’s easy to focus on the tragedy and the senseless of this incident, but your heart should be more knowing that he dedicated his life to making a difference,” said Revenew.
Corporal Molina was fifty-two-years-old. He is survived by his mother and two brothers.
