The family of a teenager who was shot and killed is holding an event to talk about ending gun violence and making Savannah safe.
Tyrese Carter, 17, was shot outside the Crayola Cafe on Bull Street on Jan. 2. Police say he was shot after performing after the teen club. The up-and-coming musician died before achieving his dreams.
On Tuesday, his family plans to encourage young people in the community to stop gun violence. The event is at 1:30 p.m. at the Mance Law Firm at Commerce Place.
