Community Corner: Domestic violence survivor helps others say, ‘NO MORE’

Local News

Whether we realize it or not, we all know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic violence.
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. This equates to more than 10 million women and men in a year.
Karen Alston was one of those people. She is now a survivor who’s working on helping others in violent relationships re-write their stories.
