It’s the oldest observance marking the end of slavery in the United States.

This weekend, the Daughters of Mary Magdalene will host their annual Juneteenth Festival to commemorate and celebrate the important date in American history. 

Marilyn Jackson is the chair of the organization.  She joins us with more.
