Chatham County’s Police Chief reveals new information about Stallion Inn Motel homicide case

Chatham County’s Police Chief sat down only with News 3 Thursday, and revealed new information about a homicide case at a local motel.

News 3 obainted the incident report from the investigation.

It showed a motel employee told police he found Bhikhubhai Patel’s body inside room nine.  Patel was lying on the ground with a white cord tied around his ankles.  He was naked from the waist down.

Chief Jeff Hadley says his detectives have been working around the clock and could be close to catching the person responsible for the kiling.

“We’ve got some pretty good solid leads, detectives are working really hard, and hopefully we’ll make some progress here in the next 24 to 48 hours,” says Hadley.

News 3 requested 911 calls from the area near the motel over the past year and found two violent crimes.

Chief Hadley says he will look into placing more patrols near the motel at night.
