A three-part self-defense series for women is coming back Friday at the Bluffton Police Department.

Members of the Fraternal Order of Police will be teaching their second round of ‘Women’s Right to Survive’ classes which include both a lecture and hands-on tactics.

Friday’s first class will focus on sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence.

The second class of the series will focus on awareness of surroundings. It will cover securing yourself on the road, at work and how to deal with the unexpected.

The third and final class will deal with securing you and/or your family. This includes the following: how to educate children on safety and awareness, what a child and/or adult can do if held against their will and wheelchair tactics against attacks.

The first class will be held Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bluffton Police Department (101 Progressive Street).
