A woman gives an EMS Team certificates of appreciation for saving her life

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – One woman in Savannah is giving thanks to the Emergency Services Team at Chatham Station three, for helping to save her life.

Last week Lisa Owens went into sudden cardiac arrest. Luckily, one of her daughters was able to perform CPR on her until EMS showed up four minutes later.

Owens said she’s thankful for them and wanted to show her thanks, by giving them certificates of appreciation.

“Their job is a hard job. They come in and see people at their absolute worst, they don’t get to see people at their best. I want them to be able to see people at their best and let them know that what they do matters,” Owens explained.

If anyone wants to know how to perform CPR and become certified, they can contact their local EMS station and find out when the next certification class is being offered.
