NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – There are many moms and dads who decide to stay home to raise their family, but may be looking for a part-time job to bring in some extra money every month.

If you have teaching experience, tutoring is also an option. The same can be said about direct selling companies, such as Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon and Thirty-One.
“Even if you’re doing a small job that is by the hour and you’re making a little bit of money, that’s fine,” said Dr. Berger. “But think a little bigger, it’s also building relevance.”
Having that relevance will also help build your resume if you return to the work force once your children are older.
“You don’t really need to be invited into a work place to do meaningful work,” said Dr. Berger. “It’s all about you owning your worth and realizing, yes, it’s scary, but you know your talent and your skills are right there and take on something obtainable.”
Dr. Berger adds there are several great websites that can give a stay at home mom or dad a jump start on finding a job, which include:
