Wednesday was a day of taking to heart the importance of women’s health.

The Go Red For Heart Fashion Show and Luncheon is held each year to raise awareness about the most common causes of death in American women.

It’s a part of The American Heart Association national effort to end heart disease and stroke; the local event was put on by the American Heart Association Southern Coast.

The fun fashion show took place at the Plantation Club at The Landings.

Some familiar faces, including News 3’s own Tina Tyus-Shaw and Ben Senger, hit the runway in fashions provided by Macy’s.
