A South Carolina man made his small screen debut on “The Voice” this week.
Jimmy Mowery says he got the coach he was hoping for. During the show, Maroon Five’s Adam Levine picked him for his team.
“I wanted Adam, so I was trying not to look at him,” Mowery said. “I was trying not to look at any of the judges to keep my nerves down. But then I heard my family scream.”
The musician said he first picked up a guitar to process his grief after his father was killed when he was a child.
Mowery lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife.
“The Voice” lovers can continue to follow his journey on the show, Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. on WSAV.
