Electronics ban on U.S.-bound flights from 8 countries

WASHINGTON (AP) -The clock is ticking for Airlines flying directly to the United States from 10 airports in eight mostly Middle Eastern and North African countries to comply with a new U.S. rule banning most electronic devices from carry-on luggage.

Cellphones and smartphones are the exception. Everything else needs to be in checked bags.

Affected operations have 96 hours to comply.
