After closing school due to poor road conditions on Monday and Tuesday, schools in Evans County and Tattnall County will head back on Wednesday.
Heavy rain over the weekend caused damages to several roads in the area — and some are still affected.
Tattnall County school officials say some roads are still washed out or covered with water, making them impassable to school buses. Officials ask parents to bring students to meet the bus if it is safe to do so.
If it is not possible, parents are asked to call the school and let the front office know.
School officials in Evans County say some roads remain damaged and they expect delays. They say they will work with parents and students on an individual basis.
Toombs County Schools returned on Tuesday. They continue to encourage parents and students to exercise caution and have patience with bus routes as some roads are muddy.
