According to the Center for Disease Control, every year globally 14 million people learn they have cancer and 8 million die from the disease.

For Tim Riesz, he was one of the other millions of people that cancer affects, the family and friends of those with the disease.

Tim lost his uncle, Bill Johnson, in 2010 to pancreatic cancer and has now set out to “end cancer” and if all else fails at least bring more awareness and money for research on pancreatic cancer, in particular.

His journey began October 29 and is finishing Thanksgiving. The cross country tour started in Newport Beach, CA and is ending at Tybee Island.

Family, Ted, and Terry Riesz  have supported Tim and his tour director Erica Mielcarek as he bikes across the Unites States.
