2016 GHSA Baseball Playoffs Round 1

Savannah, GA – Round one of the GHSA State Playoffs started today, Friday April 29th. Many schools around the Coastal Empire competed in double headers. In Savannah, The Benedictine Cadets swept the Screven County Gamecocks, 5-0 and 20-4. The Cadets move on to round two. The Savannah Christian Raiders hosting Mount De Sales Cavaliers. The Raiders fell in game one, 8-2 but won game two, 5-3. Savannah Christian plays game three Saturday, April 30th at 1 P.M. The reigning champs, the Richmond Hill Wildcats hosted the Evans High School Knights. The Knight swept the Wildcats, 2-1 in game one then 2-0 in game two. Over in Guyton, the South Effingham Mustanges played Jones County. In  game one the Mustangs won 7-0, but fell in game two, 8-4. South Effingham plays game three on Saturday, April 30th at 2 P.M.
