One person has been taken to an area hospital on Thursday morning after a vehicle accident at the intersection of Southbound Truman Parkway and Eisenhower Drive.
There were two cars involved, a tan-colored Honda and a white Chevy Equinox.
The driver of the Honda was traveling westbound on Eisenhower Drive and ran through the red light, according to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police.
While that was happening, the driver of the Chevy was trying to make a left turn on Eisenhower Drive, and that’s when the two cars collided, Police said.
There were two people inside of the Honda, including the driver, and one person in the Chevy. The person that was injured was inside of the Honda and taken to a nearby hospital; the injuries are minor.
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police and Southside fire were on the scene.
Expect traffic delays westbound for at least 1 hour.
