FBI offers $2,500 reward in locating suspect in Hinesville bank robbery; new video released

HINESVILLE, Ga. -- The FBI is offering a $2,5000 reward for information that would to the arrest and prosecution of a man wanted for armed robbery at South Georgia Bank on Main Street in Hinesville on Aug. 28. The robbery took place around 2 p.m. and Hinesville Police responded to the location in reference to a silent holdup alarm.

The suspect is believed to be a Caucasian male. According to reports, he entered the bank carrying an umbrella. He approached a teller wearing multiple layers of clothing to conceal his identity including a hooded jacket, mask and latex gloves. The suspect was armed with an unknown handgun and demanded money.

Video surveillance shows the suspect approaching the bank on foot.
